Black pepper un-garbled offered at Rs 40,000 per quintal and MG-1 at Rs 41,000 a quintal in spot market. Traders say, black pepper is not being purchased by NCDEX warehouses at Kochi. Exchange has a complaint that some spot traders have deposited low quality black pepper in the warehouse. Exchange says that we are probing against the complaint. This low quality black pepper is around 2,000-2,500 tons and it costs Rs 100 crores.

Mentha oil offered down Rs 5-10 a kg in different spot markets on Thursday. However, mentha oil futures traded slightly up. Arrival reported 400 drums in different spot markets.
